Rupert Bondy

Rupert Bondy was named senior counsel and executive vice president, Governance, Compliance and Security of UnitedHealth Group in May 2024 after two years of service as the company’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Rupert previously served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Reckitt, a consumer goods group focused on hygiene, health and nutrition products.

Prior to joining Reckitt, he was group general counsel of energy company BP plc, holding that position until 2017. Rupert began his career as a private practice lawyer. In 1989, he joined U.S. law firm Morrison & Foerster, working in San Francisco and London. He has also previously worked for Lovells in London, served as senior counsel for mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters at pharmaceutical company SmithKline Beecham, and served as senior vice president and general counsel for GlaxoSmithKline.
